Did you know that the saint of baking bread is St. Elizabeth of Hungary? I found this out the other day. I might just be immature, but I think that's pretty funny! Because she's HUNGRY! no? just me?
Anyway, I thought that I would share a prayer for her intercession that you can pray before baking this AMAZING bread!
Dear Saint Elizabeth,
you were always poor in spirit,
most generous toward the
poor, faithful to your
husband, and fully
consecrated to your Divine
Bridegroom.
Grant your help to widows
and widowers and keep
them faithful to their
heavenly Lord. Teach them
to make use of their time
in the service of God our Lord.
Amen.
